COMPETITIVE
NSSA COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
Develop with us! We provide competitive soccer opportunities to boys and girls of all skill levels across the Twin Cities. NSSA teams compete in the Twin Cities Soccer League (TCSL) and NPL — offering the state's best competition and local travel. We have a team for you! Tryouts and team placements occur in late July.
LEAGUES
North Suburban Soccer competitive teams play locally in either the Twin Cities Soccer Leagues (TCSL) or National Premier League (NPL). These leagues are considered the most competitive in the state of Minnesota and all games are played within 30 miles of Allianz Stadium in St. Paul. LEVELS OF PLAY
NSSA provides two tiers of competitive soccer: Select and Academy. Both levels are designed for players who are committed to advancing their technical skills and will offer your player a high-level of coaching. Within each tier, there may be multiple teams — each comprised of players on similar developmental skill levels. As your child ages through the program, they will be challenged both physically and mentally with other likeminded players.

SELECT
Select teams require a yearly commitment; however the program typically requires minimal travel outside the metro and less rigorous schedule. Select teams train two times weekly within team environments and must be willing to commit to making the most of their training sessions and games in order to keep the teams viable and in a positive environment.
ACADEMY
The Academy Program will appeal to players who are at the top of their game and want to continue their rapid upward trajectory or are looking to play a high level of soccer. Academy teams train or play games 3-4 times per week and are more likely to compete in regional or national tournaments. Players at this level can expect to receive additional technical/tactical coaching and supplementary training (film study, agility, etc.).
