The U18C2 Boy’s swept their way to the Championship of the Eagan Future Stars Tournament winning each of their four games and outscoring their opponents 12-2 in the process.  The team coached by Tom Spehn, Pat Spehn and Rich Sonterre include: Tommy Budd, Alex Goetzke, Shan Huss, Jake Kortum, Jake Merritt, Mitch Nagel, Danny Nelson, David Nelson, Kyle O’Connor, Andrew Pederson, Z Quanbeck, Austin Sonterre, Cody Soplata, Evan Spehn, Maicol Tachney, Sam Tyler, Ben Zastrow and special thanks to U17 GK Nolan Carlson-Stevermer for filling in on Saturday.

A group of our U12 girls coached by Tim Northrop thawed out enough to capture the Adrenaline Rush Christmas Cup title over winter break. Fast paced play with lots of action resulted in a championship win on New Year's Day.  Congratulations girls!

The NSSA Board’s deliberations on the future of coach Tom Lahr were put on hold Sunday night, as he mentioned to close friends that he may finally retire following his U19BC1 team’s valient performance in the 2013 MYSA State Tournament Final over the weekend.

The Galaxy, NSSA Girls U12 C2 Team, captured first place at the recent Schwans USA Cup. Enduring a week of record heat and rain delays, the girls triumphed to win the silver division, B flight. The team is coached by Dave Bridges along with assistant coach John Reinart.

NSSA’s U15 girls Premier team has retained its Premier league position for the summer 2013 season.  After a strong showing at this years State Cup, losing the championship game to a strong Prior Lake team 2-0 in double overtime, the Blast worked hard in league play to secure a U16 Premier spot for 2013.  

Congratulations to the NSSA U16GC3  Cobalt Strikers team for going undefeated and talking first place in the North Distict.  The Cobalt Strikers coached by Keith Gephart, James Monroe and Aaron Frost now move on to the State Tournament.  Well done ladies!!

The NSSA U16BC2 team won the championship game in the U17C3 flight of the 2012 PSA MN Classic, held June 15-17, 2012. Coached by Tim Boje, the boys made it into the championship round after defeating two U17C3 teams and one U16C2 team. Congratulations to the team and Coach Boje!

Congratulations to the NSSA U16GC2 team for taking first place in their age bracket at the 2012 Star of the North soccer tournament which was held the weekend of June 15to 17 in Rochester. Team Tsunami, coached by Chris Edman and Phil Dingman, defeated the Euro Soccer Club of Rochester 4-1, St. Michaels 7-1, and finished with a 3-2 victory over Real St. Croix to win the Championship!

On a perfect Minnesota Saturday with sunny skies and ideal temperatures, the U11 C2 Boys enhanced this perfect day on the field by going undefeated and beating teams from Mahtomedi, Centennial, and St. Paul Blackhawks to win the Lakes United 3 Games in 1 Day Tournament on June 2.  These boys have applied themselves and worked hard since winter training - and their success on the pitch is a testament of their continued efforts to improve individually and play as a team.  The Cosmic Griffins are coached by Brad Beale, Aaron Grenz, and Ove Sundberg.  

U11C2 Girls NSSA Storm won the Championship game on Sunday, May 20th at the River City Rumble in Hastings.  The girls coached by Stacy Nelson, Mike Feist, and Pete Gontarek went undefeated to make it to the Championship game.  Way to go ladies!  Great job!

On a sun filled Mother’s day, the girls U11C3 squad coached by Steve Enzler and Jules Jackson captured the round robin Mahtomedi U11 girls’ tournament. The NSSA mocking jay team went undefeated with two wins and two ties against squads from Mahtomedi (2), Centennial, and White Bear Lake. Congratulations girls!
